Number Nijas Sunday Squad!

Where Confidence and Mastery Meet.

Is your child feeling unsure about maths? They are not alone — many children lose confidence when they don’t see the point of what they're learning. That’s where Number Ninjas comes in.

Our unique curriculum combines the Swiss Lehr Plan 21, White Rose Maths and the American Core standards. Using these learning objectives we deliver a block of sessions that your child will find engaging and stimulating. Each session allows the teacher to address any misconceptions that may arise and as your child progresses with their learning their knowledge will inform the following sessions.
We strongly believe that Maths should be fun, which is why we promote learning by doing and investigative challenges. The children have full access to all mathematical resources they may need during the course. They are encouraged to learn various strategies and procedures when solving problems and to understand their preference regarding resources and techniques.
We DO NOT use textbooks or worksheets! Children are not machines and learning to complete pages upon pages of the same mathematical equation does not mean they understand that mathematical concept. We ensure children experience mathematical concepts that relate to real life in numerous formats.
We learn best by doing - and so that is how we teach maths. Children are fully involved in their learning, whilst the teacher is there alongside them to gently guide them...making mistakes is where we learn and at Lets Get Learning our warm and supportive environment allows children to feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them.
Maths can be such an emotive subject! How many tears of frustration, anger or simply blank stares have teachers and parents seen when teaching maths?! At Lets Get Learning we prefer the moment of delight when everything clicks into place and maths makes sense! That is why we can break down mathematical concepts until your child understands, and build them back up to present the most challenging problems they are then able to solve independently.
